Waveform Diversity Person of the Year

General: This award is to recognize and honor one individual for outstanding and above-the-rest contribution(s) to the further development and advancement of Waveform Diversity technology. The goal of this award is to foster increased participation in this ever-advancing technology area. This award consists of a recognition plaque and presentation of the award at the 2009 International Waveform Diversity & Design Conference in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Criteria: Significant contribution(s) completed during the previous year that brings recognition to, along with development and advancement of the Waveform Diversity field of technology. Also, significant contribution(s) to the profession completed during the previous calendar year that expands and advances the knowledge, use and applications of Waveform Diversity. Contribution(s) must have broad, far-reaching implications.

Nomination: Anyone qualified to appraise a candidate's contributions may be the lead nominator for the candidate. The lead nominator must forward a statement of no more than two (2) pages which should include: the length of association with the nominee, and a statement of recommendation for the award containing sufficient details and/or other evidence describing the candidate's contributions to Waveform Diversity. Be specific in terms of the originality, innovation, creativity, and the importance of their contribution. A current resume of the candidate's experience, if available, will be helpful. The candidate should be aware of the nomination process.

No more than five, but not less than three, additional letters of endorsement should be forwarded to indicate credible recognition by others, such as peers, management, customers, and other organizations. Nominators should assume responsibility to insure that their endorsers submit the promised letters in accordance with the guidelines. Letters from endorsers should be no more than one (1) page and should state: their relationship to the nominee, the length of their association with the nominee, and their personal knowledge of the individual's contributions to the field of Waveform Diversity. This information will be reviewed by the Awards Committee of the International Waveform Diversity & Design Conference to determine the recipient of the year.
